Friends,

I have been less regular in posting as well as commenting. I hope to get back and share pictures on a regular basis.

This is the picture of a common Cattle Egret taken at Rangana Thittu. Right now mating is on the minds of this eligible bachelor. He has decided to abandon the cattle and come over to Rangana Thittu Bird Sanctuary, a large water hole. He is doing his best to attract the female Cattle Egrets by developing brilliant breeding colors on his beak and golden feathers on its head. I love the way nature works.

This is just a stunner, beautiful shot of a common Cattle Egret, although why they call it "common" I'll never know.

Amazing colours and detail in the plumage, stunning eye contact really well framed.

The colors on this cattle egret are just stunning.
I love the reds and purples and yellows on the eye and beak.
