Friends, this is a fresh picture of a bug I saw for the first time during my trip home in the Himalayas recently. It was perched on the creeper-like rose bush the early leaves of which are exactly the same colour as that of this bug. Initially, I thought it was a leaf, but on closer scrutiny, I found that it was a bug.
Since I could not establish its exact identity, I have classified it among True Bugs. If someone has definite knowledge about it, I would be obliged if enlightened.

Hemiptera (pronounced /hɛˈmɪptərə/) is an order of insects most often known as the true bugs, comprising around 80,000 species of cicadas, aphids, planthoppers, leafhoppers, shield bugs, and others. They range in size from 1 millimetre (0.039 in) to around 15 centimetres (5.9 in), and share a common arrangement of sucking mouthparts. (Source: Wikipedia)

Thanks for looking.

Hello Ram
I've never seen this kind of bug with this design! Interestingly enough, do not seem just as "camouflage"! ... How will they do to avoid predators? ... Well, the truth is that it is an insect you have photographed beautiful and perfectly. POV is very eloquent, and composition nice to see. Good work, thanks for sharing, Jesús

Hola Ram

Hello Ram,
What a beautiful Bug you found and a superb image too! Details are ever so sharp showing its beautiful markings and colours. A great view of the antennae too! Very well done!
TFS and best regards, Ulla

A real fine rendering of a beautiful smallish bug (maybe a juvenile?) Ram, you've produced just enough DOF with an f/5.6 aperture to "float" the sharp bug image above the not so sharp BG. A perfect composition my friend, TFS it indeed!
Mehmet

Hello Ram,
Have to come back on this strange shaped Hemitera-bug. Amazing colors and patterns, a most special creature. It is so exciting to find species almost nobody knows and to show it to interested people over the world. Hope you will make a lot of other discoveries of ths kind.
I wish you a nice weekend
Kind regards
Anne

Hi Ram , This is probably the first for me , but the anatomy is similar to a shield bug's . Splendid colors and a nice capture.
TFS,
Goutham R

Such an interesting looking bug you have captured Ram! You are a lucky man to have a chance to meet this kind of amazing creatures! Himalayas is a dream for me! Rainforests too!

Unidentified bug is not an unidentified bug as long as you meet and observe it. Now you know it and appreciate of its beauty, just you couldn't find the latin name.

By the way i'm doing well and still taking photos whenever i have spare times and beautiful sunny days!

Greetings,

Ersin
