A truly wonderful shot here from you!
I really like the bee eaters in general as subjects and you really nailed this blue-tailed one with that interesting moth in its beak - what a lovely pose.
The overall exposure here is terrific as is the sharpness and what i also like is the gorgeous, uniform BG that makes the subject stand out so well.

I like the species so much. Only this year I could take pictures of the bird at rather close distance. Last time it was in 2008. May be I find free time to share few of then. Now I get pleasure from watching your amazing picture which represents this species by the best way. Composition of the shot is spot on as well as a BG and subject at whole. Very clear and sharp details obtained here. The Bee-eater is one of my favourite birds and you have captured this one beautifully. The lovely coloured plumage, the dark patch in the neckline, its slender built, sharp beak and tiny eye is seen with so much clarity, and then off course the skipper in its mouth is an additional and most pleasant bonus. A very sharp image. Thanks for sharing.
