Medium sized butterfly common to wild areas and rare to countryside . there is a blue crescent on the upperside of the dark wing ,and lower side is brown as a dry leaf. sits on sunbath, mud puddling and on decaying biomass.
wing span 55- 70 mm . Larva feeds on smilax spp. and Discorrea spp.
Sci. Name : Kaniska Canace.

Maybe the quality of the image is not the best, but the butterfly is beautiful. In your place, I would try a small crop, to exclude some noise vegetation....
