First of all sorry for the ugly iron girdle, couldn't help it !
Indian roller is a very beautiful bird with vibrant blue feathers. It is a state bird of many Indian states, like Orissa, Bihar and Karnataka.
The Samyang 500mm lens with which this pic is shot doesn't have the luxury of AF or IS. All manual work.

Hi Nitin
little soft focus but nice colour. compositionaly it looks better if you left little bit of space infront of the bird. any way it is a nice picture i like it.

Hi Nitin,
quite a nice portrait of this colourful roller. A pitty as you tell, that it is not too sharp and the colours are not so bright. Perhaps you could have shown some better results in working on it on your computer.

hi Nitin,
i have no problem with the iron rod if it's my most favourite bird, Indian Roller :)
i had been running after this bird for years. till now, had seen 4 times! can you believe that?! :)
the resolution here is low, so is sharpness, but never mind, it's a good try from a good angle.
Indian Roller is one of the world's most beautiful birds. especially while flying. no doubt.
thanks for sharing.
