[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Red-vented Bulbuls are going through the breeding phase in their lives at this moment in my part of India.
Today afternoon, I noticed a pair of them fetching food for their young ones. They have built a nest inside a thick hedge in the school. The one I am posting today stopped on the ornate railing we have alongside a pathway for a short while and I captured it there.

The Red-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer) is a member of the bulbul family of passerines. It is resident breeder across the Indian Subcontinent, including Sri Lanka extending east to Burma and parts of Tibet. It has been introduced in many other parts of the world and has established itself in the wild on several Pacific islands including Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and Hawaii. It has also established itself in parts of Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand. It is included in the list of the world's 100 worst invasive alien species.

Hello Ram,
If I ever get the chance to visit India, I will definitely have to make a stop at your school. You seem to always be posting such beautiful birds from this area.
I particularly like the attractive features of this Red-vented Bulbul. It has the creast of a Flycatcher and a very colorful plumage. I also see a tiny glimpse of red color just under it's tail. You managed to also photograph it with it's dinner in it's beak. Great capture!!

Bonjour Ram,
Originale valorisation du sujet.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
