|I was searching for birds to shoot in a rubber estate - due to heat no birds will live there said my uncle. Yes, but for the shade it was warm under them. Moved to near by fields and had a field day. Sad I do not have longer lens. |
A chestnut headed bee eater it seems. It was sitting pretty far away - photo cropped severely.

Nice to have you as my neighbour today.
Fine photo of this Chest-headed Bee-eater. Good sharpness and beautiful colours. I only should have cropped a piece from the right side to get the bird more out of the centre.
Very well taken picture of this bee eater with perfect colour and sharpness.
great OoF BG make this picture more beautiful.
Nice colours and good exposure in what seems a dark environment. The diagonal perch brings some life in the photo somehow. A pity the background is getting pixilated because of the severe crop. Bee-eaters are known to not sit still for long so good on you for not missing the opportunity.
This is a great looking bird, its a pity that you did not get it on a natural perch. The colors and details are excellent .
