[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of my favorite bird - The Verditer Flycatcher. I found this one sitting by the side of a brook in Sattal.

Not the best of images in terms of managing the exposure as parts of the image is overexposed & not the best of Bokeh either..

The verditer flycatcher (Eumyias thalassinus) is an Old World flycatcher found in the Indian subcontinent, especially in the Lower Himalayas. It is named after its distinctive shade of copper-sulphate blue and has a dark patch between the eyes and above the bill base. The adult males are intense blue on all areas of the body, except for the black eye-patch and grey vent. Adult females and sub-adults are lighter blue. They are also interesting among the flycatchers in the way they forage above the canopy level, perching on electric wires or exposed tree top branches. - Courtesy: Wikipedia

Famed bird from Sattal, Satirtha. Seen quite a few of its pictures on indianaturewatch.net.
Your picture of it in its natural habitat is excellent.

Ciao Satirtha, great capture of lovely bird in nice pose, fantastic colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello Satirtha,
I can definitely see why this is one of your favorite birds, it is simply gorgeous. The turquoise color of it's plumage is absolutely stunning in the sunlight. You have done a fine job of photographing it in an attractive pose.
Actually in my opinion I don't think your exposure is all that bad, but I did a WS to see what I could do.

Hello Satirtha,
照的很漂亮 很美麗的鳥 也很清晰
第一次見到這種藍色鳥 非常的驚訝
構圖也很美麗 真是好看

Bonjour Satirtha,
Tr鋊 belle publication valorisant bien le sujet dans son environnement dans une belle attitude et sous un bon angle de prise de vue.
A bient矌 sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Very nice detail appears in the plumage of this beautiful flycatcher. The exposure actually worked out pretty good, I always say to myself the subject is more important so I work with that in mind first then I start thinking about the surroundings second. The contrast in this makes it a difficult shot with the subject having darker registers versus the lighter registers on the rock. You done did good. :)
