CORRECTION: I made a mistake in identifyng. I didnt realize until a friend of mine pointed it out. It is not Bonnet Macaque as posted earlier. It is Rhesus Macaque, Macaca mulatta.

The picture was framed in Corbett National Park early this year. It was interesting the way i got his portrait. I was relaxing after lunch, just before my trip into the forest, when he, along with his friend came around, did some pranks and tried scaring away the tourists. I was observing them from a distance. After sometimes they came closer to me and tried the same tricks, but all the while i kept ignoring them. After 10 min or so when they felt more comfortable, they started relaxing, which is when i began to work on their portraits.

Excellent portrait, composition and framing are really good. I do wish you had taken the time to clone out blemishes after scanning, and am undecided about the graininess of the film, something like Neat Image would have sorted that out if you wanted, although the grain does add a gritty reality to this. Still, as I said an excellent portrait, just a little more post procesing would have made it better.

What a soulful look on this dear monkey's face! What a capture!!! I do like what AndyB did with Neat Image on this as it makes it quite complete. The crop/compsition on this lovely image is superb. A pleasure to view.

This one makes me think about the borders between animal and human. Very agressive crop that works superb. Postprocesing is excellent and the soft but sharp effect makes it a round one. 3 Points.

Gopinath, Very nice face-shot that has captured a priceless expression well. The facial tones & details are great! Hat's off to ya!!

Very nice photo

'No, I am not going to tell you. I will not open my mouth incase the words come out' is that what his expression is telling us?? He is delightful!! Thank you for sharing.
