Painted Stork (Mycteria leucocephala)
is a large stork with long heavy yellow bill and un feathered waxy yellow face. Plumage is white in colour with glistening black above and across the breast and delicate rose pink about the shoulders and wings. Sexes are alike. Seen in pairs, parties or large congregation at water bodies and marshes.

beautiful bird , here they are white with long red beak and dark gray wings.
Migrate in the winter to Southern Europe.

Hello Smitha,
What a fine image of this brightly colored Painted Stork, I have never seen this particular species before. The bright yellow bill and head captures your attention immediately and it's plumage is striking to view. Outstanding detail and colors are vivid yet natural. Love the blurred BG and exposure is just right. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be to view a large number of these large birds all together in a flock. Great job!!
