THE LAST CUSTODIAN

|The Last Custodian|
Story time, friends! In the warmer months last year, I had seen and photographed a Wasps' nest in the ventilator of my bathroom. Quite a few of them used to be there, working on taking care of the larvae. As the winter set in, they started vanishing gradually. I posted a couple of their pictures here on TN and then forgot all about it.
Today was a sunny and warm day here in north India. Some curiosity drove me to have a look at that Wasps' nest in the afternoon. I presumed all would be dead or gone, but to my utter astonishment, I found the last single custodian of the nest still alive and working. An infinite sadness engulfed my heart while looking at that solitary survivor. How lonely it must be!
Well, that's life for you.
I took a few pictures of it, feeling a deep sense of empathy for this little creature. Here is one for you to look at.

It is a very attractive subject and composition of the picture. I like precise AF, pleasant blurriness of the FG and extremely nice details of the wasp. My warm regards and TFS.

How sad to see the one and only survivor guarding an empty colony. Makes you wonder if it knows what lies ahead or is oblivious to it's own destiny. Nice shot...great story!
