Advent of Spring 2016

|Happy Women's Day to all!|
The spring season has begun here in north India. Today morning, I went around my school garden to look for the first subjects of the new season. I came across some butterflies and winged insects. I begin the new season with the picture of a Red Pierrot I took today morning.
The red Pierrot (Talicada nyseus) is a small but striking butterfly found in the Indian Subcontinent and South-East Asia belonging to the lycaenids, or blues family. The red Pierrots, often found perching on the Kalanchoe plant, are usually noticed due to their striking patterns and colors.

Hi Mr. Ram,
What a beautiful butterfly. You greatly captured it from lateral view. Detail, colors and POV very nice. Purple flowers nicely contrasted it. Thanks for sharing this beauty. Best regards.
