|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This picture is from my archives of last year. These birds used to visit the guava tree in our house compound during winter. This year we had no fruit on the tree and therefore no Brown-headed Barbets visited it.|
Barbets are pretty colorful average-sized birds. The Great Barbet is perhaps the most beautiful among them and is found in the Himalayan region. This June I'm trekking in the hills and would like to capture the Grat Barbet in its natural habitat, which is not easy because it's an elusive and shy bird.
Thanks for looking.

What a gorgeous species of bird you have presented to us. I have to admit from just viewing the thumbnail image I didn't even see it's wing, it blended in with the leaves so well. A gorgeous bird and photographed perfectly as we can easily see. I wish you luck trying to capture the Great Barbet this year.
