[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This butterfly was crawling around weakly on the stone floor of the terrace of my house this afternoon. I guess this is the time for their departure from life. Since the area was in shade, I used fill flash to capture it.

The Common Castor (Ariadne merione) is an orange butterfly with brown lines whose larvae feed almost exclusively on Castor Ricinus communis. It is similar in appearance to Ariadne ariadne, the Angled Castor.

This species is found in south-eastern Asia. Their wingspan ranges between 30–35 mm. Like others in the Nymphalidae family, their front two legs are small and unused, effectively making them four-legged. These smaller appendages are covered with long hairs, giving them the characteristic brush look.

hello Ram
C'est une belle capture avec des ailes ouvertes, bonne vision des détails, des dessins et des couleurs.
Bon dimanche
Roland

Hi Ram
This is a good one. The spread looks lovely. The color looks bit saturated-was it due to WS or the flash ? On the whole the photo looks beautiful.
