Found this Moth on the wide leaf of money plant today morning in my school. I am unable to identify it. Experts may kindly help.

Moths comprise a group of insects related to butterflies, belonging to the order Lepidoptera. Most lepidopterans are moths; and there are thought to be approximately 160,000 species of moth, many of which are yet to be described. Most species of moth are nocturnal, but there are also crepuscular and diurnal species.

Helllo Sir,

I always thought that moths are nocturnal creatures and always got attracted to artificial light; hence always found them on the Walls sitting at a corner. Nice to see tche moth on the leaf. Good details and color.

Warm regards,
Satirtha

Hello Ram,
A great shot of this fine looking moth. Resembles a type of Hawk moth, but I couldn't find one of this particular pattern or color while searching for a definite ID. Wonderful detail and just the right exposure. I like the way you captured it in a diagonal pose across the frame.
