Captured today afternoon on my school campus.
Euthalia aconthea, the common baron, often called simply baron, is a medium-sized nymphalid butterfly native to India and South-East Asia. It flies with stiff wing beats and often glides. The wing is not flapped very far below the horizontal.

Hello Ram,
Nice colorful specie. Another interesting specimen which I can not meet in the wild but it is nice to see it on TN. Excellent colorful background.

Hello Ram,
Not your typical butterfly pose which makes it so captivating. Love the fine detail you managed to capture and the markings are so beautiful. Composed perfectly as it is about to take flight. I really like the nice clean BG. Great shot!!
