Tekkadi - A Foggy Morning
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|On a cold winter morning I set out in a double decked boat along with other tourists on this placid lake in the heart of Periyar wildlife santuary. There was lot of fog and the sun was raising slowly and illuminating the ripples caused by the movement of the boat.|
The picture was taken without looking into the viewfinder ! I had hold my arm out of the small window of the boat, guess where the lens was looking, imagine a composition and then click, out of the three pictures I clicked , this was one which did not get any part of the Boat in it :).
The picture has been prossed to remove CCD noise (scanner) Film grain (Provia100) , sharpened and resized.
Periyar santuary is known for its Elephants, Gaur, Wild Pigs, rare lion-tailed macaque, Nilgiri Langur, and rarely Tigers.

Beautiful, this is such a calm and tranquil image. Excellent camera technique too :-) Wonderful soft textures and tones, very nice.
Beautiful capture despite the interesting technique you used! : ) You really captured the mood of the morning and to imagine elephants or tigers peering out of the mist gives it a whole other dimension!
Evelynn : )
Great shooting technique and with a very stunning result. The combination of sun and fog is well captured. The little waves are giving this photo a very good dynamic view. I just love your low POV.

excellent mood you have captured here. The tree stumps are an excellent touch.
Hi ViJay, Good foggy morning capture you made. Very good moody feel to it. Murray.
Feeling Estigia, fascinating promenade of ghosts inviting to row to the other side.
Very nice character.
