Hi everybody

This lizard is a Calotes versicolor ,which is known as Changeable lizard. Here are some information about it which I found on www.naturia.per.sg:

Scientific classification
Kingdom: Animalia

Phylum: Chordata

Class: Reptilia

Order: Squamata

Suborder: Sauria

Family: Agamidae

Genus: Calotes

Species: versicolor

Changeable Lizards are usually a dull brown, grey or olive with speckles or bands, but can can be seen in other colours such as bright green. These colour changes may reflect their moods.
During the breeding season, the male's head and shoulders turns bright orange to crimson and his throat black. Males also turn red-headed after a successful battle with rivals. Thus their other gruesome name of "Bloodsucker Lizard". But they don't actually suck anybody's blood! Both males and females have a crest from the head to nearly the tail, hence their other common name "Crested Tree Lizard".
Status and threats: The Changeable Lizard is relatively common and found in a wide range of habitats. They appear to adapt well to humans and are thus not endangered.

I had posted one photo from this Black Tailed Skimmer.

It looks like curtains for your Black Tailed Skimmer, Behrad!
Fantastic action picture of this lizard making a meal of the dragonfly which you had shot and posted earlier. That's life for you!
Congratulations on shooting this great image. Great perspective, focus, colours and details.
Well done and keep doing it!

WOW! Great capture from both the lizard and you, Behrad!
Splendid work here! Excellent timing above all!
Really great POV, too.
Lovely colors and framing as well. Perhaps just a little too overexposed by my taste, but a great catch all-in-all.

Bravo, TFS and have a great weekend!

A great capture of this lizard devouring its prey Behrad.
Good composition and accompanying note.
Good work.

Hi Behrad,
What a brilliant action shot of this lizard gobbling up a dragonfly! Very skilful to catch such a moment and with great focus on the subject. The background seems to act as a camouflage for the lizard!
Thanks, Ulla

Behrad, this is an incredible moment indeed! This is the first time for me to seeing a lizard devouring its prey!!! Wonderful capture mf! Really hard to take a photo of an lizard to me, they are so shy! But you captured it with the prey! Exceptional post especially with the moment and sharpness is great also. Surely a favourite to me!
