[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Situated in Himalayas about 51 km from Manali town at an altitude of 4,111 meters (13,400 ft.) on the highway to Keylong, is Rohtang Pass. Here one sees the majesty of the mountains at its height and splendour. One has to cross many glaciers as shown in this picture enroute. |

Hello Subhash,
Amazing is that road through the glacier. I've never seen such place before. Overall the picture is very nice although the focus is a bit on the soft side.
Best greetings,
Michal
Hi Subhash!
What a original and intersting composition - a road throught the glacier! :)
Nice colours and good DOF with the mountains on the second plane.
Best regards,
Radomir
PS. Points tomorrow :)
Hi Subhash,
I like this photo a lot, and I think the main reason is the road leading the spectator deep into it. The colours and composition are also nice. However, I wonder if it would have been possible to get a stronger leading effect by using a lower point of view. I don't know, maybe that would have ruined the shot, but at least it's an idea to keep in mind ;)
Anyway, it's a very nice shot, thanks for sharing it.

I have gone there a few times, but never with snow. Looks a bit dangerous?
