It is difficult to find a way to discuss this photo. It has many things that make a very thorough job. The high detail in the foreground, insect wings are seen in detail, are true natural works of art, with all the jumble of red veins on the dark tone. Very good job, well equipped with excellent brightness. As usual, the information attached is excellent.

Dear Peter!
Very nice profile picture of species which is known for me olny from interenet pictures. I like details and POV, but this time I also have a question :)
In the References you proveded publication by Knight and Holloway (1990) about insects from rain forests, are there any data about Cicindelidae? I do not know this publication but it can be interesting :>

One of the most beautiful dragonflies I've ever seen Peter, shown from a perfect POV with enough DOF made possible with an f/11 aperture so every point of the fly is pin-sharp against a pleasantly OOF BG in contrasty greens.
