[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These series of postings are intended to increase the knowledge on Sulawesi's biodiversity. Large parts of Sulawesi are only poorly explored also with respect to butterflies, such as the south-eastern Peninsula, Sulawesi-Tenggara.

The picture shows a spider species of the
- genus: Leucauge
- family: Tetragnathidae
The species looks similar to Leucauge celebesiana but also shows some differences to that species.
Body length: 9 - 10 mm.

Porabua, rain forest margin. South East Sulawesi.

- natural limited light, cloudy
- exposure 1/30sec only, f7.1, ISO 400
- no wind
- handheld

Sharpness could be better, but this was the best picture I achieved of this interesting spider. Due to the light conditions I had to take the picture at an exposure of 1/30 sec in order to achieve an acceptable depth of field with f/7.1.

Hello Peter,

I think the level of focus is excellent. I am a bit surprised of your "Shortcomings" But imagine there is relative with levels of requirements specific to your talent. Either way, the photo is ideal to evaluate the characteristics of this species, and the composition is very suitable. Moreover, as is usual in your case, the note attached is very complete. Thanks for sharing.

Hallo Peter,

Ciao Peter. The best POV to exalt the DOF. Perfect focus on insect against blurred BG. Very good light with intrigant metallic reflecions.
