[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
"Chasing the Dragon" it was the 19th century expression for those who were smoking away their problems with Opium or heroin through a long stem pipe, while remaining in vegetative state of mind full of halucinations and deformed realities. The look of this monkey inspired me that...

The most photographed primate while in my last journey, the "Monyet Ekor Panjang" in Indonesian or long-tail macaques (Macaca fascicularis) inhabit patches of Bali Island in hordes leaded by extremelly aggresive alpha males.
Despite that, many of these hords of macaques, live along touristical focus points mainly around temples, usually surounded by forest, where they get fed by visitors or monks or simply village children.
This larger than life image is taken at Pura Sangeh temple in a place known as "Sangeh Utang Monyet" or Sangeh Monkey Forest, he was just sitting, day dreaming away on a on a mossy rock at the bottom of a temple altar stone, at the jungle entrance.I just like color of his eyes a lot and the facial hair.

Very nice close up Radu with amazing facial expression.

I like it a lot: composition, lighting, DOF, focus, POV, sharpness, color, framing.

I like it: notes.

I don't like it: nothing.

The details of the coat, the captured look and a perfect illumination are the strong points.
Chapeau!... Ricardo

Excellent portait, Radu.
As usually I would say, what a terrible boring photographer you are - everything is so perfect ;-)
Just joking...
Nothing really to write - great and that's all :-)
