That is almost if not National Geographic work..since we have a photographer here somewhere who works for them or freelances perhaps, he might pop in some times...It is a editorial nature shot in perfect composure and composition..Well done James..

Hi James,
This really makes me smile and chuckle. What a fine humorous Macaque portrait! The focus, color, comp. are all super. Great reflection. Almost looks like the the monkey's frozen in ice.
Well done. What's next! TFS

Hi James
A hardy species of Macaque you captured. I like how you captued his whole reflection in the water. Nicely composed. The soft lighting creates and cool mood. Interesting note.

Hi James
What a splendid and actually moody shot!
If it's relaxing for me to watch it, i can only imagine how good he feel :))
Very good close-up on his head and reflection. Ilike the look on his face, the snowy fur and the little steam emerging from the water. Very neat and sharp and with an excellent ude of the shallow DOF.
Superb work!
Bravo and TFS

You're back!! Yippee! I hope your trip was great. I've been out touch for a short while... really busy on a photography project I'm to present at the university. I had a LOT to learn and still have some snags to work out.
This is just a super image James. Looks perfect to me. ...the sharpness, the color, the reflection, the snow, the expression... wow. S/he looks really cold.

Hi James!
For a second I was afraid I'm looking at a mirror... Sometimes, when I go to the mountains in winter, my head is white of frost and snow, too. But the difference between that nice gentleman and me is that he has much more hair than me...
Great and impressive picture with a fantastic mirror effect!
Kind regards

Hi James,
Slow down a bit! It's not fair to post such lovely photos of great species from remarkable locations in such a short time. Yesterday the Hoiho from New Zealand and today the Japanese Macaque from Kanbayashi Onsen ... I'm feeling a bit jealous :o))
Above all, it's a beautiful photo. Well done and TFS
Cheers,

Hi James, what a surprise to know you are now in Japan photographing these adorable monkeys! The reflection in the water is fantastic. The more I look at your pictures here on TN, the more I realize how good some of you are, and how much I am learning. For example, this shot, the exposure is perfect, yet there is snow, shadows in the water and nice light on the fur of the animal. You cropped it pefectly too. Thank you!

Amazing image - fabulous. From the look in his eyes, he is pondering....perhaps a 'Haiku'? Or....maybe just peeing in the pool hard to know which and there's the strength of the image, ponderings.
