[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photograph is taken in the farm road around Memanbetsu Airport. It is a representation kind of a yellow butterfly. The wing outer edge of this butterfly is black, and there is a silver spot in the center of a wing. The ground color of a male wing is yellow. There are yellow and two white kinds for a female. Full length is about 50 mm. An appearance term is around March to November. The winter is passed by a larva and wings is grown in early spring. It often sees at a sunny park, a bright grassy place, the farmland, and dry river bed, etc. When I approach it, it was mating.
It is distributed from southeastern Europe to Turkey, Central Asia, Japan, or Taiwan. And, the south's limit is distributed to Somalia or Ethiopia.
