Hello friends in TN,

I was exited with this first rainbow capture when I was ready with the tripod and CPL attached. It was late in the evening with the sun setting on my right shoulder with the raincloud gathering on my left. A double rainbow can be seen here with the one on the right very subdued.

A most charming example of chromatic dispersion is a rainbow. When white sunlight is intercepted by a drop of water in the atmosphere, some of the light refracts into the drop, reflects from the drop's inner surface, and then refracts out of the drop. As with the prism, the first refraction separates the sunlight into its component colors, and the second refraction increases the separation. The result is the rainbow.

Thanks for viewing!

Hi Jusni,

After the horizontal framing of this scene, this vertical one one also great shot in all around. It is nice to see double rainbow:) once more thought one of them is relatively weaker.
TFS and cheers,
Bayram

Your simple explanation of a rainbow leaves nothing to doubt, Jusni.
This is a wonderful capture of a rainbow but vis-a-vis the scene on the earth. You have chosen the right perspective because this occurance in the form of two rainbows has greater appeal in relation to the green earth lit by the last rays of the setting sun.
Well done and thanks for sharing the image.

Salam Jusni
you are right. its beauty is exiciting. I saw two rainbow. their colors splendid, but your capture and composition wonderful. POV above green crop (I think rise) also superb. I like composition. Maybe and inshallah I can visit your beautiful country. It is a sister country for Turkish people.
many thanks. Best wishes my friend
Ahmet

Ciao Jusni,
eccellente documentazione di questo bellissimo fenomeno fisico, ottima composizione verticale che dà profondità all'immagine ed esalta i colori dell'arcobaleno, molto buona la definizione, bellissima luce subito dopo la pioggia.
TFS.

Best wishes,

Hello Jusni,
A nice capture of a part of a double rainbow in great lighting. The technical standard is excellent but I think I would have concentrated the composition more on the rainbow rather than the paddy-field FG, but that's just my opinion.
TFS this fine image,
Ivan

Hi Jusni,

I looked at this shot and immediately thought of "The Wizard of Oz" and Judy Garland singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." A beautiful scene with a double rainbow. I wonder if there is a pot of gold there. So nice with beautiful grass and mountains in the distance.

Hi Jusni.
This cute shot reminds me my shared one year ago rainbow shot. Very nice place, impressive combination of the lights and shadows, wonderful coloration of the fields and of course, fine natural double rainbow. My compliments and TFS.

Hi Jusin,
A wonderful shot ...this one is different from the usual rainbow shots, 'coz this is almost as if a rainbow was falling from the sky ...a steady stream of colours connecting the sky and the earth directly.
I like the way you composed this with the green field in FG and the cloud and mountains afar. The turn that the firld takes at the leftadds more depth to the compsoition.
very well cpatured.
TFS & Cheers

Hello Jusni,

Not only do you capture the rainbow, you even manage to capture the hint of the second one... very weak but visible to the right side!

"Occasionally, a second, dimmer, and thicker secondary rainbow is seen outside the primary bow. Secondary rainbows are caused by a double reflection of sunlight inside the raindrops, and appear at an angle of 50°–53°. As a result of the second reflection, the colours of a secondary rainbow are inverted compared to the primary bow, with blue on the outside and red on the inside. The dark area of unlit sky lying between the primary and secondary bows is called Alexander's band, after Alexander of Aphrodisias who first described it."

Well done!

Greetings,
Pablo -

nice one Jusni! i like how you haven't gone for the whole rainbow but composed it well with the rice field instead.. well done!!

Greetings Jusni, I've just spent some time viewing your work... fantastic! You have such variety and do a splendid job presenting it. You have lovely detail, colors, and subjects. My guess is that this is rice growing here.

I look forward to seeing more of you work.

Paul
