Grey-Chinned Minivet
(Pericrocotus solaris)
Size: 17 cm
Location: Fraser’s Hill (Pahang)
Description:
A small, dark grey and scarlet, arboreal bird with grey cheeks. Male has a greyer than scarlet above with obvious grey cheeks and chin and orange-yellow throat. Similar shaped red patch in wings. Female is similar to female Long-Tailed Minivet but lacks yellow on super cilia and forehead.
Voice:
A thin tsee sip.
Habits:
Inhabits hill forests. It feeds actively, mainly in tree canopy in small, calling parties. Sonetimes it briefly descends to eye level. It eats insects and nest high in trees. |

Hi Ang,
Beautiful bird & very finely captured. The color of the bird is nice. I've also captured the pair of these bird few days back but was not the best shot. Well done & TFS.
