This is a nice photo. It is well focused, has good color, and surprisingly deep DOF for such a close shot. The bee however, is so dark that there is no visible detail. If you hadn't told us, I wouldn't be able to determine what kind of insect it is.

Finally, placing the main subject in the center of the frame is rarely the most effective composition. You might try cropping a little off of the top, and a bit more off of the right side.
