This is another view of the caterpillar i posted before. Side View.
Till now, i'll been researching for the name of this caterpillar but somehow in vain.

I was lucky to have spotted this caterpillar lurking underneath the thin tree leaves at the butterflyfarm. And i was also lucky to have been given permission to go up close to snap pictures of this interesting looking thing.

PP Notes: I didn't have to do much except to adjust the levels a little and clone out some of the background blurred leaves because they were in areas that would make it distracting. :)

PS: DO check out my other view/picture of this caterpillar in my photos. :)

Hello Stephanie
What a great shot,nice colors,
excellent.

Hi Stephanie,
I like this cute caterpillar, so pretty hairs and a phantastic colour - that's a good contrast to the green BG.
The hairs on the body are a little soft because of the angle and only f 5.6.
Anyway a nice arrangement and brilliant colours, thanks and bye

Amazing macroshot with artistic touch. The background is superb and its green colour fits perfectly the orange coloured cat. Excellent play with sharpness and OOF areas, giving it a soft, portrait like feeling, the white hairs being like fireworks and sparks.
Thanks for sharing, Patrick

Hi Stephanie,
This is a great shot, wonderful textures and colours. I think the very shallow DOF works well here, it adds some interest and depth to the image. Excellent colours, vivid but natural. Very nice shot.

Adrian

Nice shot Steph,
What I like most is the color and light in this shot.
Excellent BG that shows off your hairy & "orangey" cat in a most effective way :)
Well done & TFS!

I really like the subject and composition. The blurred bg is great. I agree with Sabine that because of the width of the body (including the hair) I think you could use just a bit more DoF -- maybe f/8. I suspect it wasn't moving so fast that it would have blurred at 1/500 of a second! ;-)

HI,

What a strange creature you've captured. Very good details and light control. Superb background too.

Hey Stephanie, your nature photos are excellent. I love the shallow depth of field here; it really makes this interesting specimen stand out. The complementary colors of green and red (well, more a dark orange I guess) look great together.
