Verditer Flycatcher (Eumyias Thalassina)
This specie is found in both the highlands and lowlands. The male shown here has black lores and is darker in blue than the female.

I have found when taking photographs of this bird even the slightest amount of fill flash makes the blue an incorrect colour due to the sheen on it. This picture was captured under ambient canopy lighting.

Hello Phil,
Not a daily-one photo here on TN. This special bird has splendid blue colours and you photographed it very well. Very good composition. The details in the plumage are excellent. The best photo of this Flycatcher I've seen so far.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Phil,

A beautiful picture of this wonderful Flycatcher. The blues are amazing. A marvelous pose as the bird seems to be showing off for you. Fine details of the face and plummage. A superb background and a lovely composition on the diagonal branch.

Jane

Hi,
I love the color on this bird and the position. The sharpness is good and the colors too. On the nit side i think there's a little noise.

Hi Phil,

I have never seen this flycatcher before. The blue is rteally striking. I guess the distance between you and the bird was quite big. Nevertheless great shot.

regards,
Zeno.
