[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Weaver ants or Green ants (genus Oecophylla) are social insects belonging to the ant family, known for their communication and nest building behaviour.

Weaver ants are social insects that have complex bio-chemical communication and make elaborate nests out of living tree-leaves. Weaver ants are found in the tropical forests of Africa, Australia and southeast Asia.

They may be colored a shade of red, although those found in North Queensland, Australia, are yellow-brown, with a bright green bulb at the tail, hence the common name "Green Tree Ant".

This species is known for its painful, irritating bite.

Hello Agoes,
Such a special color, Agoes, as if there's some kind of transparent layer on that ant.
You actuallt photographed the aforementioned very well.
Besides there's a lot of DOF to detect in this close up.
Well done
TFS

Hello Agoes,
An excellent sharp macro of a winged Green Ant. The POV and details shown are excellent and the ant shows up well against the OOF neutral BG.
Thanks for sharing this superb image,
Ivan

Hello Agoes,

It is amazing on how you manage to capture the queen. It is hard to find and very well protected. The sharpness and details are pristine and very pleasant in color coordination. Truly wonderful without having to put it on your skin. Have a wonderful weekend and keep shooting.

Regards,
Jusni

Hi Agoes,

Great macro work here. Very nice colour.

Lovely 'ibu kerengga'. This remind me of my childhood days. We used to catch this ibu kerengga and hooked it at the fishing hook to catch 'lampam' (Puntius schwanenfeldii).

Hello Agoes and welcome on TN!
This is a very unique picture - not only because of fantastic sharpness and very nice depth of field. For me the most interesting is ant's... colouration! I have never seen so GREEN ant! Thank you for showing something new and interesting!
Friendly yours,
Radomir
