This Cattle Egret is in breeding plumage. What a vast difference it makes to the plain white non breeding plumage. The rufous colour really stand out and along the chest is more hair like than feathers.

May it is the law of nature that every species mix with it back ground as I see this bird too..

Good shot of the egret in breeding plumage. 600 + 1.4 gives you a really big lens, but the sharpness and plumage detail is quite impressive. Well composed and good exposure.
