|Coppersmith Barbet (Megalaima haemacephala)|
This was taken in Penang, Malaysia earlier in the year.
This is an adult coming back to the nest (hole in the tree) to feed the fledglings. The male has a territorial call "tonk, tonk, tonk" as if someone was coppertooling. They average around 18cm in size and are colourful as can be seen here.

Great shot of this beautiful barbet. That's a massive lens you've got.
Fantastic shot of a beautiful bird - excellent colour and detail and well focused on the eye. TFS

What a great pose on this one.
And the colors are just out of this world.
Super sharp details that are perfectly exposed.
TFS. : )
