Grey and Buff Woodpecker (Hemicircus concretus)
This little woodpecker approximately 14 cm in height came out to play after a passing shower. This species is normally sighted at treetop levels.

At the Sepilok Rainforest Discovery Centre in Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia I was on a canopy walk that allowed for that and to get nearer to observe the birds.

Their movements are rather quick and erratic. Fortunately I managed to get this shot despite the slower shutter speed.
