I would like to wish Merry Christmas to TN friends who are celebrating this joyous season. It had been a wonderful experience in learning about nature for me from many experts in specialized field in this forum. I will continue to provide nature images as I really enjoyed the learning experience here. The experts on reptiles, fungi, insects, plants, birds and many more are really helpful in positive identification of the unknown to me before TN. Your honest critiques are welcomed and I enjoyed reading them much more than the green smileys. They are the ones that make me smiles ear to ear. So Laszlo and George - Please stay and keep those pale smileys coming :-)

My interest in photography might be in a different direction than many forumers here as I have little interest jockeying with photoshop and other editing software. More than 90% of the time I was out shooting are with my film cameras only. I am not keen in getting the ISO setting, white balance check, colors customization and many more features at the back of my DSLRs. I would rather load a roll film on my film cameras and shoot without having to chimp with the LCD screen. For those who like crappy images like me can view my gallery HERE. I have the crave for the smelly plastics and those film grain still :-)

I am looking forward to 2011 for more excellent images from friends in TN and best wishes to all. Greetings from Malaysia - Jusni

These wildflowers were captured by the beach on film.

Ciao Jusni, my today neighbour, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family, lovely composition with beautiful flowers, wonderful light, good natural colors and splendid sharpness, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello Junsi,
I agree with you thats both Laszlo and George should stay, we need people which can write honest comments.
About you picture: It´s nice with soft colour and light maybe you could add wee more sharpness.
About photoshoping: When you shot JPG in your compact camera, the camera do a lot of "photoshoping" for you, a Japanese engineer has made an application that makes the picture after a standard application that is difficult to influence, then it is better to do it yourself, a must if you fotgraferar in RAW format. Sharpen images are almost always needed, it is an AA filter in front of the camera censor who steals a little sharpness.
(AA filter = anti-aliasing filter removes aliasing may occur in digital images.)
Best Regards

Hello Jusni,
Nice capture with lovely details, colours and wonderful composition.
Excellent photo.

Hi .
Beautiful photo with very good composition and wonderful colours, I like the BG which gives an idea about the environment of the plant and at the same time is not obtrusive to the main subject. In my archives I have thousands of photos in film (negative and slides). Some of them are unique (for example very rare birds which probably I will not see again). Unfortunately when I scan them the quality is not as good as with my digital camera. The sharpness it is not as good and the noise is not at an acceptable level. In your photo (scan) these two problems are obvious.
Merry Christmas, Christodoulos.

Buen ángulo de disparo y excelentes colores. Independiente de algunos
detalles técnicos que no siempre son importantes.
Un abrazo: Josep Ignasi.

Salam Jusni,
the fascination for digital and film is always wonderful. to me its a different genre and definitely we cannot say much about the product based on the same "premise".
Every shot differs, every shot looks wonderful and pretty.
So does this one, very lovely and the hues and bokeh is different. But they are beautiful in their own way.
I know these flowers are hard to emphasise and terrible effort taken to balance it.
To me this is a success, technically and artistically.
A lovely bouquet to appreciate!

Best regards and time for work creeps too fast to realise.

Lovely image of colors, green and yellow, my favorites, tfs.

Hallo Jusni,
you can tell when a photograph is technically perfect, but often a photograph you like beyond its technical value because it expresses the atmosphere and send it, i feel immersed in the green yellow grass and i like
Best regards

My dearest friend Jusni,

Thank you so much for your warm words on my activity. You, Foozi and some other, real friends are the reason I'm staying until I'm banned! Thanks so much for accepting and handling my critiques as they are: critiques of photos! And I don't agree you never learn. :) At the same time you're quite a unique guy: not much people are working with analogue camera nowadays.

This time I can't make you so happy because I give the dark green smiley. :) Nice image, probably the left flower (around the center) should have been sharpened a bit, but the composition and color tones are quite pleasing. The photo has its own atmosphere and although not 100% perfect, a valuable post which gives great visual impact to the viewer. And this is what counts. Congrats and tfs.

Friendly regards, László

Hi Jusni.
Nice shot taken with help of film camera. I do not remember that time when I held a film camera in my hands. Very poetic shot with delicate colour palette, wonderful details of the main subject and amazing smooth BG. Best wishes and many thanks for warm greetings.
