Filoboletus manipularis grows in abundance on rotting logs in the shadowed and canopied rainforets during the rainy months in my place. The small translucent, glow-in-the-dark fungi has smooth caps that appear dimpled or regulaly patterned with small circles due to the pores being visible through the very thin cap tissue. It always grows in clusters. Although this fungi has pores, it is in fact very closely related to Mycena.

Many of these fungi are currently out after the recent rain and tend to grow in clumps and are very lovely. They are small, often no more than 2 or 3 cm high. They are partly translucent and are luminous at night.
This shot was taken in the Bukit Wang Recreational Forest, a moist forest reserved .

TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hi Foozi,
Fantastic group photo. This species is the top favorites of the mycologists come to your country from overseas, because it's common yet (due to the poroid trama, although the species belongs to Agaricales order, Mycenaceae family) very different from any kind of other fungi growing in Europe or North America. Perfect composition, DoF and light management, excellent post with great note. Congrats and tfs.
Friendly regards, László

Hi foozi,
beautiful species.
nice color.
have a good night.

Hi Foozi,

The fungis are well placed in the frame. The close-up point of view is showing the details and colors of the Filoboletus manipularis fungis. The surrounding light is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.
