Malayan Mud Dauber Wasp.
This shot is quite difficult for me as the wasp keep on flying and stopping and moving.
Please feel free to comment and critique as my real point is to share the wasp photo.
A spectrum of flora and fauna in TN, gives us the beauty of appreciating nature.

Mud dauber (sometimes called "dirt dauber," "dirt digger," "dirt dobber," "dirt diver", or "mud wasp") is a name commonly applied to a number of wasps from either the family Sphecidae or Crabronidae that build their nests from mud. Mud dauber may refer to any of the following common species:

- The solid black organ pipe mud dauber, Trypoxylon politum (family Crabronidae)
- The black and yellow mud dauber, Sceliphron caementarium (family Sphecidae)
- The iridescent blue mud dauber, Chalybion californicum (family Sphecidae)

Mud daubers are long, slender wasps; the latter two species above have thread-like waists. The name of this wasp group comes from the nests that are made by the females, which consist of mud molded into place by the wasp's mandibles.

The organ-pipe mud dauber, as the name implies, builds nests in the shape of a cylindrical tube resembling an organ pipe or pan flute.

The black and yellow mud dauber's nest is composed of a series of cylindrical cells that are plastered over to form a smooth nest about the size of a lemon.

Salam Foozi.
This wasp is thin but the yellow and black colors are really striking. Nice perch on the contrasting earth color in fine framing.
Kind regards,
