A warm HELLO to you all here on TN.

I'm happy to be back from my trip to Asia - and I will start posting again here with this cute Burmese dragonfly from Yangon.
I'm not firm with the Asian dragons - but this seems to be some kind of Sympetrum - anyway I like the shot and I hope you also do.

I had a wonderful time traveling around Myanmar and Thailand. The heat was horrible, in Yangon we had about 45°C. So I had not many chances to capture insects - realy toooooo hot!.

Now I'm back at home and when I look outside the window I can't imagine that I was longing for the German weather at my stay in Asia ... it is cold and raining ;-)

So enjoy the sunday,

Hi Sabine,
yes indeed...Im happy to hear from you.You must have enjoyed the SE Asian sky.
This shot of dragonfly is indeed very dramatic. The big eyes and the details you have shown.
The colours are natural and pretty amber.
Youre right, the weather here is extraordianarily hot this year.
I cant stand it either. whatever it is my place, i got to adapt to it.

Hello Sabine,
I can't ID this Burmese dragon, but it was taken from a nice POV to show the smiley details with fine sharpness and colours!
I like the composition on the colourful orange plant against a nice contrasting BG.
Thanks and welcome back!

A nice portrait with the accent on the huge eyes Sabine, their heterogenous character is rather well displayed here, together with those "ruby" simple eyes and short antennae, good details indeed!

The portrait of this dragonfly is very good.
Colors and details are perfect.Very nice picture.

Hello Sabine,
I bet you had a fabulous trip apart from the heat! Still I'd prefer that to the cold weather we've had and the ash cloud etc.! A very fine sharp macro of this dragonfly in beautiful light. Well composed too!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hi Sabine,

Welcome back. That's a great macro with which to resume your postings. Wonderful colours and details. I like that one whisker by the left eye that always seems to show up on quality dragonfly macros. TFS.

Liebe Sabine,

Hallo Sabine

Hola Sabine.
Thanks for share this lovely and smiling face of a Dragonfly to all of Us here in TN.
awesome eyes and wonderful colors.
Nothing better than be at home again I know that.

Hi Wishnu,
Although I live in a hot area I also had a few bad moments in that heat. Now it is our winter and today is expected to be 30C [ hows that for winter]
Back to your photo. An incredible colose up with a pinsharp subject and great exposure.F16 has given you a limited depth creating the fuzzy BG and hence the subject being a striking point of interest. The clarity is absolutely amazing showing such intricate details of the face, body and wings. The golden light reflecting off the fine body hairs, an all over well balance and national geographical quality photo.Well done and TFS.
PS. I will let you know when it gets cold here!
