Have a nice sunday everybody ...

Today I present this special moment - especially special for me ;-) because I don't often have the chance to have two of these wonderful hunters on one shot.

For me it's also special to see and capture a mantis because we don't have these alien-insects here in Germany.

First the dragonfly caught my attention, sitting there so decorative on the orange flower. Suddenly Stephan saw this tiny mantis next to him - and than I were in big trouble - which one shall I shoot first?!?
Both are so interesting - so first I made this shot to show them together - so you can imagine how tiny the mantis was. You can also compare it very well seeing the prey of the mantis, a fly.

I had a shot of the dragonfly already here two weeks ago.
The single shot of the mantis will follow ...

Thanks for looking and any words ...

Hello Sabine.

You were lucky to catch these two in one shot.
Wonder what happens when they hunt after the same fly.
Very colorful picture also.
Thank you for sharing it.
Have an nice sunday with hopefully a little dragon.

Gr. Hans

Hi Sabine. The first thing that i noticed was the rich colours with this fine picture of the two insects. I have yet to see a Mantis let alone get a picture of one. As you say with a dragonfly as well. well taken TFS.

hello Sabine
nice composition with the 2 insects
great colours and good details
greeting lou

hello Sabine

superb timing from you to shoot this dynamic photo
with the wonderful colour tones, you choosed great POV
it is giving us the impression that we are insects
with them on the photo, TFS

Hello Wishnu,
Great capture with both hunters in a single image. Very good details and excellent colours. Very rare composition.

Hello Sabine friend,
Wow! Speaking about natural pictures, this is all a miracle! great! a scene difficult to handle, because approach and the light are complex. You've done very well! and additionally, has solved very well the composition, to generate a nice visual picture! TFS, regards, Jesús

What a special scene you caught here BEF! Two killer in the same scene:)
It would be nice to see a prey on mouth parts of the brown smile:) but just a coincidence. Perfect timing MF!
Loved the knocked-off BG too, nicely composed and adequate sharpness.
TFS and have a nice new week Sabine!

Hello Sabine,
Amazing scene indeed! This mantis is very tiny. The composition and the colours are very attractive. This is a real natural story. Well observed (Thanks to Stephan too!) and done. Have a nice week,

Hola Wishnu

Alles liebe
