Hi Sabine and Stephan,
My favourite colours on one damselfly!
Fresh and full of joy. The background is strangely colourless in contrast!
Here on the Canary islands we were lucky till now, not more than 31°c. I heard in Holland and Germany it was 37°c. Wish you a sunny but not too hot weekend too.

What a beautiful colors and macro. The light and details are outstanding and those eyes are just amazing. Seeing all your photos on TN and TL it seems you had a excellent time in Myanmar.

dafür hast du ja auch viele andere super aufnahmen zur
verfügung, wie diese hier, sabine! :-)
was für eine coole und farbenfrohe libelle -
gelber körper, roter schwanz, türkisfarbene augen und ein orangener kopf, fast wie ein regenbogen.
wunderbare komposition mit einmaligen details und perfekter schärfe.

Your wonderful photo ispired me to learn the difference between the dragonflyes and the damsel flies - it's the position of the wings during rest... I am imressed by the sharpness of the macro! stereoscopically distanced eyes help it to catch its pray...

Hallo Sabine,
was für ein schönes Geburtstagspräsent - wie konnte ich das nur übersehen, muss wohl zu der Zeit fern vom Computer in den Bergen gewesen sein.
Wusste gar nicht, dass TN erst seit zwei Jahren existiert. Angesichts der Fülle an Fotos hätte ich auf mindestens sechs Jahre getippt.
Jetzt aber zu Deinem Foto: Elegante Komposition, und erlesene Kombination von Grautönen und Buntfarben in dieser herrlichen Wiedergabe einer Wasserjungfer aus Myanmar.
