It was a nice day, when suddenly a huge storm arrived. It rained giant ice balls, as big as my fist or bigger. They covered everything at least a foot or two deep. Roofs started caving in, birds died in the sky, nests were destroyed, trees stripped, the lake a floating sheet of ice. The ice melted, flooding house, shops, everything, everywhere. Rivers formed washing anything loose into the lake. When all was done, the people rushed out to save their roofs, shops, and everything now in water. Nature can be unexpected and cruel.

Hi Gloria,
what a dramatical tale, what an unusual picture. What striks me here : how did you survive this hail storm with those golfball sized (or bigger) clumps of ice? You had the presence of mind to take this rare picture.
Best regards

Hello Gloria,
This is an original posting, Gloria. Something like out of an archaic time. Nature can be cruel, it is true, but the desorder suggested by your picture looks great in a certain way. Composition and colours are excellent.

wow how dramatic your image does not portray any sense of scale. A recognizable object within the field of view would have helped.

Hi Didi,

Great shot, dear friend..
Lovely to see them..
All the best.
