Annapurna is the first out of 14 mountains over 8000 m conqered by men in 1950. This outstanding achievement belongs to French expedition led by Maurice Herzog and is described in his book Annapurna Premier 8000.

The picture was taken early in the morning from Poon Hill - probably the most popular place to shoot Annapurna located on trekking routes above the village of Ghorapani. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great, but that did not change the awe we felt in presence of great giants of Himalaya.

Great picture with good light. I like the smooth colors.

Very good landscape, well done.

Welcome to TN, Mikhail. Breathtaking view! I imagine what you must have felt in front of such a giant. The bad weather adds the impression of an inhospitable place. Just a bit of sun in the mist is beautiful.

Although it's not the highest, this mountain has provided the most dramatic photo.
The bad weather adds to the dramatic scene, the gloomy colours are excellent and there is lots of detail.
Congratulations for a great photo and for just being there!

The perspective from Pun hill is good for shooting Annapurna group of mountains. Unfotunately, you have lost clarity on the summit of this one due to bad weather.
The rest of the details are very good.
