I took this shot of an Asiatic Leopard whilst looking for tigers in Royal Chitwan National Park. I did not see any (though I did in Bhardia), however, the elephant flushes this leopard on the way back to tiger tops. Although not uncommon, leopards are rarely seen in Chitwan because of the dense vegetation. Our guide had not seen one for a couple of years.

This shot was hand held from the back of an elephant. I have cropped it and cloned some grass from the face.

I love the pose, and those piercing pale eyes.
It is all the more impressive that you took this photo in the wild, under the circumstances that you described. What a thrill that must have been.

Thanks for leading me to this superb picture.
To photograph a wild cat in its natural habitat is true nature photography, no doubt.

This image on film/slide is even better than what we see in digital format these days. Moreover, it is obviously a scan, and a super one at that.

Those piercing eyes convey a strong expression of fear and aggression combined together.
I must compliment you for this prize capture.

How was it in Libya? I'll get to your new image from there in a moment.
