Salaam Laghari,

It is a very beautiful cricket.
We would call it a grasshopper in the United States.
I have seen similar large colorful grasshoppers, but none with this one's exotic beauty.

You are right, Laghari - this beauty can be created only by God.... We also see a lot of these grasshoppers around our place. I have posted a pic of the same here, you can have a look at that. In fact, Manyee has given a workshop on that which is even better.

Hi Laghari,
What a surprising grasshoper. Must be a first on TN. Never saw that one before. I'd really like to know the species.
Lot of jpg artefacts. Maybe because you compressed the file to 154 KB while we're allowed 300. No direct light and shades have brought a lot of details everywhere. Well done. I trust the original pic is magnificent.
ISO looks high. It is good to include your material and the capture data so that we have ground to write helpful critics.
