Yes, shot this Oriental Magpie Robin (Copsychus saularis) male in May this year.Had to adjust lighting to make it presentable as the May sunlight was very harsh. It presented me with this beautiful posture in which its lovely plumage got full exposure. It sings beautifully all day to attract and please its mate.Summer has its own bounties so I am posting this one from the harsh months of summer that we have here on the enormous plains of Dera Ismail Khan which we locally call Damaan.Hope friends will like this shot this adorable magpie robin of our region.

The oriental magpie-robin (Copsychus saularis) is a small passerine bird that was formerly classed as a member of the thrush family Turdidae, but now considered an Old World flycatcher. They are distinctive black and white birds with a long tail that is held upright as they forage on the ground or perch conspicuously. Occurring across most of the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia, they are common birds in urban gardens as well as forests. They are particularly well known for their songs and were once popular as cagebirds. The oriental magpie-robin is considered the national bird of Bangladesh.(Wikipedia)

Hello Abid,
Nice photo of this robin in natural colours and good sharpness. A pity that the background is a bit noisy.

Hello Abid,
You were fortunate to capture this beautiful Oriental Magpie as it was sweetly singing. Focus is sharp and you obtained wonderful eye contact. I love it's contrasting black and white plumage and the markings are so attractive. Nicely exposed. Great job!!
