Taken at Montane area of the Philippines. This bird is a tree creeper going down the tree trunk to get food.uthatches are omnivorous, eating mostly insects, nuts and seeds. They forage for insects hidden in or under bark by climbing along tree trunks and branches, sometimes upside down. They forage within their territories when breeding, but may join mixed feeding flocks at other times. Their habit of wedging a large food item in a crevice and then hacking at it with their strong bills gives this group its English name. Wikipedia

hello Luis

Very good upside down capture of this nuthatch bird with such superb color. I like the softness in the blur effect of bokeh, especially the fan-like tree leaves.

Good clarity and focus sharpness under superb light to have such impressive shot.

Hi Luis,
Beautifully colored bird just captured as it usually seen, a climber and hangs like this. Good composition and ambiance. You could have placed your signature at the bottom. tfs.

Hello Luis,
A fine capture of a Velvet-fronted Nuthatch taken from a great POV in a fine typical nuthatch pose. The details are shown with good sharpness and colours against a pleasing neutral BG.
I think this is the first time this species is shown on TN.
Well done and thanks!
Best regards,

amazing bird, TFS Ori
