Goldcrest Regulus regulus tr: Çalıkuşu
One of the birds in Sakhalin Island/Russia.

Today, in the forenoon, I was taking indoor photographs of my friends. I set the light measurement setting to "Multi-segment/Pattern".
Afternoon I took my tele and went outside for my appointment with this beauty. After I took the photo I noticed the metering mode was in "Pattern" instead of "Spot". The result was just like a silhouette. I had to use Photoshop more than I used to. I tried to illuminate the bird using "Shadow-Highlight", "Brightens" and "Match color/Illumination" tools. I am not much pleased but I wanted to share the smallest bird in Europe and one of most beautiful birds as for me in the world.

Hello Fatih,
A pity that your metering was wrong but it's still a very nice shot of this little bird which is not easy to catch. I like the composition very much.
TFS and regards, Ulla
