Endomychus coccineus (Endomychidae).
Size 5mm.
Found among rotting leaves, twigs, and other plant litter at the very base of an alder trunk, in a wet lowland beside a river. Really looks much like a Coccinellidae, even with red hemolymph oozing out from hinges of its legs.
