I was crossing a road when I found this reptile taking a sun bath right in the middle of the road.
The lizard was almost 4 feet in length and had a fat belly.
If someone can comment on the picture and the details of the reptile. |

Hi Sujoy. Great photo of a huge lizard. Since it has a long neck, this is a Varanus species.

Hi Sujoy,
Nice encounter with this monitor lizzard.
Details are lost because of the direct sun light. One of the way to avoid this is to use a fill-in flash.

Lovely capture of this pretty young Varanus lizard, i think it is a juvenile Malayan Water Monitor lizard V. salvator.
