(Cacomantis sepulcralis) 锈胸丛杜鹃
Size: 24 cm
Where it overlaps with Plaintive Cuckoo, look for its larger size and distinct eye-ring.
A series of 10-15 rising, whistling notes
Found mainly cloased forest, but also seen in cultivated area and scrub, although less often seen than Plaint cuckoo. It occurs in coastal woodland and mangroves, and up to 2500m inland on Sulawesi. They are solitary, secretive and more often heard than seen. Itís a confirmed brood-parasitic on sunbirds, the Pied Bushchat, White-eyes and probably Flycatchers, Fantails and Long-Tailed Shrike.
An uncommon winter visitor of the island.

Well composed pic that shows excellent contrasts between the subject and BG. I like the sharpness and detail of the subject too. Your POV, DOF and lighting are all good.
