Chestnut-Winged Cuckoo
(Clamator coromandus) 红翅凤头鹃
Size: 38 cm - U/WV/PM - CF, KB, SB, SG, BC

Distinguished from Lesser and Greater Coucals by it’s diagnostic crest, white collar, and light colour underparts. Immature is brown above with rufous edges to feathers; tail tipped and edged with buff.

Call distinct monotone whistle bee bee given every few seconds.

Always stays low in understorey of forest or scrub foraging slowly.

An uncommon winter visitor and passage migrant in Singapore.

Outstanding photograph, excellent sharpness, outstanding composition, good background.

Amazing composition, I like the verticality of this shot with the huge tail. The background is really mastered and plays his part in the photo.
